Empowering farmers and communities since 1999
"To be a premier cooperative with empowered members in socio-economically advanced communities."
"We provide responsive financial and other support services to uplift the quality of life of the members."
The Taloy Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative was originally a barangay-based association formed primarily to serve the people within the locality comprising mostly of farmers. It was formally organized in October 1991 through the assistance of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). Then on May 18, 1999, it was finally registered with the Cooperative Development Authority with the name, Taloy Norte Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative and changed to Taloy Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative in 2018.
It all started as just a consumer store, then after some time went to wine making and goat raising then went to lending. In 2009 the cooperative partnered to National Confederations of Cooperative (NATCCO) under its Microfinance Innovations in Cooperatives (MICOOP) program which gives an opportunity for the officers to undergo trainings and workshop. The cooperative also hired full time competent staff to run the operations.
The cooperative also went to a computerized system with the Ekoopbanker provided by NATCCO which helped the coop monitor accounts of its member, since the cooperative choose to concentrate in Savings and Credit to offer its member until such time the coop can manage other services. The cooperative starts to accept Savings and Time Deposits at an interest rate more competitive than average commercial banks. Thus, indirectly savings mobilization and Capital Build-up is a common problem to all coops was neutralized. It also offers providential and agricultural loans at minimal rates slowly eradicating the usurers that has been sucking the blood of these poor farmers.
In March 17, 2010 the cooperative registered under the new code, R.A. 9520 AN ACT AMENDING THE COOPERATIVE CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES TO BE KNOWN AS THE "PHILIPPINE COOPERATIVE CODE OF 2008". The cooperative was given a new registration no. 9520-15009733. The cooperative asset as of December 31, 2025 is P1,227,403,100.
